| Poppy seed Starch Tragacanth Gum Arabic Gourd seed Quince seed | 10 drams 4 drams each 3 drams each |
Powder. Dose: half–1 dram. (Wirtzung)
Powder for Lung Disease and All Cough
| Radish seed Pyrethrum Elecampane Orris Pepper | equal parts |
Powder.
Decoction for Cough & Asthma of Galen
| Hyssop Basil Maidenhair Horehound Licorice | 6 drams each |
Decoct down to half, strain and add Honey.
Used for Cough, Asthma, Wheezing.

Form pills the size of Chickpeas with Quince seed mucilage. (Dispensatory of Ibn at Tilmid)
Lohoch of Fenugreek
| Linseed Fenugreek Sweet Almond Tragacanth Licorice peeled Pine nut peeled Bitter Almonds Wheat Starch Gum Arabic | 15 drams 4 drams ea. 2 drams ea. |
Powder and mix with boiled Wine.
Troches for Cough
| Fennel seed Celery seed Licorice juice Maidenhair Sweet Almond | equal parts |
Form Troches. Dose: half–1 dram. (Wirtzung)
Pectoral Decoction
| Raisins Sebestens Jujubes Dates Barley Licorice Maidenhair Hyssop | 1 oz. 15 of ea. 6 1 oz. ½ oz. ½ handful 2 drams |
