Medicines that Strengthen the Heart

The word Cordial is derived from the Latin root Cor, meaning Heart. They benefit and strengthen the Heart, and therefore also cherish the Spirit as the Spirit has a close connection with the Heart and is said to be stored by the Heart in Chinese Medicine.

They are often used with Alexipharmics to protect the Heart in Epidemics and Fevers.
