2 dr, 1 scr., 6 gr. ea.

Musk

Moschus

1 dram

White Sugar

Saccharum alba

1 lb.

Candied Sugar

Saccharum candi

1⁄2 lb.

Preparation:

Powder the herbs, mix with the sugar and powdered candy, adding the Musk last.

Function:

Warms, moves Qi, settles Wind, benefits the Stomach

Use:

1. Indigestion
2. Wind, Colic
3. Coldness of the Stomach with bloating and pain
4. Sweetens the Breath.

Dose:

1⁄2–1 dram

Cautions:

None noted

Modifications:

The Musk can be omitted, and the sugar content greatly reduced.
