Preparation:

Function:
Regulates Digestion, promotes Bowels Movement
Use:
1. Constipation
2. Hemorrhoids
3. Flatulence
4. Abdominal distention and bloating
5. Used as an adjunct to lose weight
Dose:
It is generally not recommended for more than 2–3 weeks without a break.
Usually one dose per day before bed is sufficient. It is taken with Warm water.
Adults: 3–6 grams (maximum daily dose 12 grams)
Children 5–10 years: 1–1 ½ grams
Children 10–15 years: 1 ½–3 grams
Cautions:
Avoid continuous long-term use. It can be taken for 2–3 weeks before taking a break in treatment,
Modifications:
1. In chronic constipation, it can be used intermittently for 2 weeks at a time. In the interim, medicines like Triphala, Withania or Nux Vomica can be used depending on the requirements.
