* Chinese sources give Glehnia and Ophiopogon root, neither of which are typically used in Tibetan Medicine. Chinese sources and Chinese manufacturers often apply Chinese herbs in Tibetan formulas. Evidently two Lung Yin nourishing herbs are indicated.

Preparation:

The herbs are powdered, then the powder of Bezoar and Tabasheer is added and mixed well, and with water form pills each weighing 40mg. Traditionally coated with a little Cinnabar, this is not done today; a little Dragons Blood powder may be used to color the pill if desired.

Function:

Clears Lung heat, stop Cough

Use:

1. Hyperactivity
2. Fever with Cough
3. Shortness of Breath

4. Heat disease in Children

Dose:

one-year old child: 7–11 pills (280-440mg), 2 or 3 times daily

This is based on Minster 3, composed of Bezoar, Safflower and Tabasheer.
