Corallum rubrum

Together, equal to the above **

Sugar

Saccharum

Sufficient

* Corticum exteriorum pistaceorum could be the Bark of the tree or the shell of the nut
** The amount of Red and White Coral (together) was to be equal to the rest.

Preparation:

Powder the herbs, then form a confection with sufficient Sugar.

Function:

Strengthens the Stomach, benefits Digetsion

Use:

1. promotes Appetite and Digestion
2. Indigestion, Poor appetite, nausea

3. Abdominal fullness and distention
4. Acid Regurgitation

Dose:

1–2 drams

Comment:

Source text says it ‘cures all diseases of the stomach if God wishes’; and that it is found by ‘noble experience transcends any medication’. It may be used for any constitution, with or without matter (excess humors).
