1 ½ dram ea.

* Bitter Costus is said by some to be derived from the mature root of Saussurea lappa. Others have said it was Inula racemosa. In any case, regular Costus may be used.

Preparation:

Powder and form a confection with three times their weight of Honey.

Function:

Opens Obstructions, moves Qi and Blood, clears Heat, strengthens Stomach, Spleen and Liver

Use:

Liver, Spleen, Stomach obstruction

Dose:

1 dram
