Herb Name	Latin	Amount *
Aniseed confected	Pimpinella anisum	2 drams
Galangal	Alpina officinarum
Cinnamon	Cinnamonum zeylanicum	3 drams ea.
Long Pepper	Piper longum	1⁄2 scruple
Citron peel	Citrus medica	1 dram
Sugar	Saccharum	6 oz.

Preparation:

Powder the herbs and mix with the sugar to form a confection

Function:

Warms the Kidneys, benefits the Uterus

Use:

Infertility associated with Cold and Phlegm

Dose:

1 dram every morning with wine

Cautions:

None noted

Modifications:

1. Honey could replace the Sugar, and should be more effective.
2. Condited Aniseed is Aniseed confected with Sugar. Given the large proportion of Sugar, this is perhaps not necessary.
