Preparation:
Decoct in 12 cups of water down to half
Function:
Clears Heat and Damp,
Use:
Fever and chills, fullness in the chest and hypochondria, bitter taste, nausea, vomiting, fullness or distention in the epigastrium, yellow tongue coat and forceful pulse
1. Gastroenteritis
2. Cholecystitis
3. Cholelithiasis
4. Dysentery
5. Acute Pancreatitis
6. Peritonitis
7. Hepatitis
8. Migraine
Dose:
a cupful three times daily
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
1. Severe abdominal pain add Cyperus Xiang Fu and Corydalis Yan Hu Suo
2. Acute Cholecystitis, add Lonicera Jin Yin Hua, Taraxacum Pu Gong Yin, Forsythia Lian Qiao, Viola Zi Hua Di Ding.
