Preparation:
Macerate the herbs 24 hours, bring to the boil, strain, dissolve in the gums, and sweeten with Syrup of Quince (or Honey).
Function:
Astringent, clears Heat, Stops Bleeding
Use:
1. Excessive Menstruation
2. May also be used for Bleeding of the Lungs from Heat
Dose:
a small cupful 2–3 times daily
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
A strong decoction of fresh Plantain may be used in place of the Juice.
