Decoction of Hemp Seed

Herb Name	Latin	Amount *
Hemp seed bruised	Cannabis sativa	3 oz.
Agrimony	Agrimonia eupatoria
Shepherd’s Purse	Capsella bursa-pastoris
Plantain	Plantago majus
Knotgrass	Polygonum aviculare	1 1⁄2 handfuls ea.

Preparation:

Boil in Water, 2 quarts to 2 quarts; sweeten the strained Liquor with 4 ounces of Sugar, or with Syrup of dried Roses.

Function:

Clears Heat, Astringes to stop Leakage

Use:

1. regarded as a specific for Incontinence and Bedwetting,
2. Blood in the Urine.

Dose:

1⁄2 pint twice daily; 4 oz. for a youth.
