Preparation:
Decoct in 3 lbs. of water down to 2 lbs., and dissolve in 2 oz. of Cassia pulp.
Function:
1. Purges Bile and Phlegm
2. Can be used for skin diseases
Use:
Diseases caused by mixture of Bile and Phlegm (Damp-Heat)
Dose:
3–5 oz.
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
To make it stronger, Mesue added: Cassia pulp 1 oz. (instead of 2 oz.), and Turbith and Agaric of each 1⁄2 oz.
