Turbith Operculina turpethum 3 drams ea.
Stoechas Lavendula stoechas
Polypody Polypodium vulgare
Agrimony * Agrimonia eupatoria
Celery root Apium graveolens
Fennel root Foeniculum vulgare
Raisins stoned Vitis vinifera
Wormwood Artemisia absinthum
Aniseed Pimpinella anisum
Carrot seed Daucus carrota

* Eupatorium was originally used, however, Agrimony typically replaced it in European texts

Preparation:

Decoct in 3 lbs of water until 2 remain; strain, then add 1 dram each Turbith and Agaric, Ginger ½ dram, infuse, and strain.

Function:

Clears Phlegm and Damp, Strengthens Stomach

Use:

1. Phlegm and Damp diseases, especially in the elderly.
2. Cough
3. Asthma
4. Poor digestion due to Phlegm and Damp

Dose:

2–4 oz.
