Preparation:
Grind to a coarse powder. Prepare a decoction with 9 grams.
Function:
Strengthens Yin and Yang, Clears Phlegm, Opens the Orifices
Use:
Weak, lower back pain, thirst, deep and slow pulse
1. Aphasia
2. Stiffness of the tongue
3. Loss of Speech
4. Paralysis
5. Post Stroke Sequelae
6. Cerebrovascular diseases
7. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
8. Dementia
9. Diabetes mellitus, Hyperglycemia
Dose:
9 grams of the coarse powder is decocted to be taken as a draft.
Cautions:
1. Not used in excess or Heat conditions
Modifications:
1, Severe Qi deficiency, add Ginseng
2. More severe Wind symptoms, add Gastrodia Tian Ma and Saposhnikovia Fang Feng
3. Deficienct Heat, add Paeonia Mu Dan Pi, Phellodendron Huang Bai.
4. Spasms, Contractures of the Limbs, add Scorpion (Quan Xie) and Centipede (Wu Gong)
5. Paralysis, add Earthworm (Di Long) and Astragalus Huang Qi
