Preparation:
Powder the herbs, and mix with clarified Honey to form an Electuary
Function:
Clears Cold and Phlegm, moves the Blood, cleanses and benefits the Brain
Use:
1. Poor or Failing Memory
2. increases Cerebral Circulation
3. Foolishness
4. Dullness of Mind
Dose:
5 grams
Comment:
This is used in modern Unani medicine. The same formula appeared in Pharmacopoeia Persica (1681) where it was listed for Forgetfulness and Foolishness.

Compare with ‘Electuary for Memory’ of Wirtzung that is the same, but omits Calamus and Ginger, and adds Myrrh.
