Syrup of Dried Rose

Rosa gallica

1⁄2 oz. ea.

Preparation:

Powder the dry ingredients, then mix with the Syrup to form an Electuary

Function:

Moves Blood, clears Heat

Use:

Bruising, Trauma; Internal Bruising and ‘broken’ parts

Dose:

1 dram in Red Wine

Comment:

This was mentioned by several authors including Culpeper.
