Glycyrrhiza glabra

equal parts

Preparation:

Powder and mix with Honey to form an Electuary

Function:

Clears Cold Phlegm, Strengthens the Lungs

Use:

1. Cough from Cold Phlegm
2. Wheezing, Asthma

Dose:

Half–1 dram

Comment:

The texts specifies that the proportions of both mediicnes can be altered according to need.

Cautions:

None noted

Modifications:

1. To cleanse the Lungs, add Hyssop and Figs
2. To strengthen the Lungs, add Pine nuts and Raisins
3. To more strongly stop Cough, add Bitter Almond
