equal parts

Preparation:

Powder

Function:

Clears Heat, Resolves Phlegm, Moistens the Lungs, Stops Cough

Use:

Either excess Yellow Phlegm, or a dry Cough with Heat and dryness.
1. Heat-type Cough
2. Bronchitis
3. Asthma
4. Tuberculosis

Dose:

Take 6–9 grams as a draft

Cautions:

Not for Cold Cough

Modifications:

1. Stronger to stop Cough, add Apricot kernel (Xing Ren) and Licorice (Gan Cao).
2. More Heat, add Coptis Huang Lian.
