Preparation:

Powder

Function:

Clears Liver Heat, Resolves Phlegm, Settles Wind

Use:

A. Liver Wind with Heat and Excess: Irritability, red eyes, headache, red tongue with greasy coat, rapid and wiry pulse.
B. Wind-Phlegm with Qi and Yin deficiency: Tinnitus, Dizziness, Vertigo, Palpitations, feeling of Qi rushing up, Greasy tongue coating, soft and wiry pulse

4. Dizziness
5. Tinnitus
6. Meniere’s disease
5. Hypertension
6. Palpitations
7. Stroke
8. Atherosclerosis
9. Alzheimer’s disease
10. Dementia
11. Neurosis
12. Hyperthyroidism

Dose:

3-§ grams twice daily with warm water or Ginger tea.

Cautions:

None noted

Modifications:

1. Codonopsis is regularly used in place of Ginseng.
2. Headaches, add Ligusticum Chuan Xiong, Angelica Bai Zhi
3. Vertigo.and Dizziness, add Mistletoe (Sang Ji Sheng)
