TO STRENGTHEN THE HEART
Aqua Vitae 1 pint
Gold a piece
Saffron 1 dram
Cinnamon 2 drams
Take a piece of Gold, heat it red hot and quench in the Aqua Vitae a number of times, the more the better. Then add the Saffron and Cinnamon beaten. Steep 4 days, stirring every day. Strain and filter.
It warms the Heart and Stomach and strengthens all the Organs. It is especially good for the elderly and after long illness.

Sandalwood equal parts
Form a powder, then sprinkle with Rose water, dry, powder and keep. Very good to strengthen the Heart. Dose: 1–2 grams (Wirtzung)
