Preparation:

Form a Powder

Function:

Moves the Blood, Clears Stasis

Use:

Pain relieved by warmth, lower back pain, dark or dull complexion, purplish tongue and lips, deep and choppy pulse
1. Amenorrhea
2. Dysmenorrhea
3. Uterine Fibroids
4. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)

Dose:

Take 3 grams twice daily with wine
For strong pain, it can be steeped in alcohol and taken as a tincture.

Cautions:

1. Not used during Pregnancy
2. Not used in Heavy Bleeding

Modifications:

1. With Blood deficiency, take with Si Wu Tang.
2. Fibroids or Polycystic Ovaries, add Myrrh (Mo Yao), Safflower (Hong Hua), Poria (Fu Ling)
