Humors in the Different Traditions

It is worthwhile to investigate the similarities of the Humoral concept in the various systems.

The Table below shows the Physiological and Pathological aspects of Phlegm, Bile and Air in TCM, Ayurveda and Western (Galenic) Traditions. The names given may not be 100% synonymous, but it serves to show similar concepts and enable practitioners from any one system to have an understanding of the terminology in other systems.
