Preparation:

Water extract of Kutaja is prepared, then mixed with powder of Atis to form Tablets.
Tablets can be prepared with equal parts of the powder (typically 375mg each). Due to the high cost of Atis, often 3 or 4 parts Kutaja is used with 1 part Atis.

Function:

Clears Heat and Damp, Stops Diarrhea

Use:

1. Diarrhea, including that with Fever, Mucus or Blood in the stool
2. Dysentery
3. Amoebiasis
4. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Dose:

Adults: 1500mg, three or 4 times daily.
