4 1⁄2 grams ea.

Chan Su (Toad Venom)

Bufonis venenum

Xiong Huang (Realgar)

Arsenic sulphide

Bing Pian (Borneol)

Dryobalanops aromatica

3 grams ea.

Preparation:

Powder finely and mix with wine and form millet size pills. Usually brought as a patent medicine

Function:

Clears Fire Poison (extreme Toxic Heat), reduces Swelling, alleviates Pain

Use:

1. Tonsillitis (severe, pustular) with difficulty swallowing
2. Acute Pharyngitis with severe pain
3. Aphthous Stomatitis
4. Lymphangitis
5. Septicemia

6. It has been used for other conditions associated with extreme Heat and toxin including Asthma, Hepatitis, severe localised Infection

Dose:

5–10 pills, or as indicated on the packet

Cautions:

Not used in Pregnancy.
