Liver Weakness

Liver weakness generally falls into 2 broiad categories:

  • Liver Blood deficiency
  • Liver Yin deficiency

As the Liver produces Blood, when deficient the Blood will be deficient, and this is called Liver Blood deficiency in TCM. There will be pale face, pale tongue, weakness, feeling Cold, low and weak pulse, and it is often associated with Anemia.

Liver Yin deficiency is generally deeper and more severe. There are signs of Yin deficiency, including red or dry eyes, nightblindness or poor vision (as the Liver is governs the Eyes). Yin Tonic medicines appropriated to the Liver are used.
