Preparation:

Powder and form a confection with three times their weight of Honey.

Function:

Opens the Lungs, Clears Phlegm, Stops Wheezing

Use:

Asthma

Dose:

1–2 drams, up to 3 drams

Cautions:

This contains Aristolchia, which is banned. However, a number of herbs are used as a substitute for Birthwort.

Modifications:

1. Prepared Arum root has been used as a substitute for Birthwort which would be relevant in this formula.
