Endive seed

Chicorium endiva

Lettuce seed

Lactuosa sativa

Chicory seed

Chicorium intybus

Opium

Papaver somniferum

1⁄2 dram ea.

Preparation:

Powder, and with Endive juice, form a pill mass

Function:

clears Heat, purges water, opens Obstructions

Use:

Ascites with Fever and Red Urine

Dose:

1 scruple

Cautions:

1. This is only suitable for strong constitutions
2. Not used during Pregnancy

Modifications:

If this were recreated, Aloe could replace Colocynth and the Opium could be omitted.
