Cantharidum

1⁄2 dram

Gum Ammoniacum

Dorema ammoniacum

1 1⁄2 dram

* Cantharides are prepared by removing their wings and legs.

Preparation:

Dissolve the gum in wine, add the rest in fine powder and form pills the size of peas.

Function:

Strongly promote Urine, clears Cold and Damp, opens Obstructions, relieves Pain

Use:

1. Obstructed Urine from Cold and Damp
2. Urinary retention from Kidney Yang deficiency

Dose:

3 pills

Cautions:

1. Avoid overdose
2. Not suitable for long-term use
3. Avoid in Kidney Yin deficiency or Heat diseases
4. Not for use in Pregnancy
