Guggulu (Bdellium)

Commiphora wightii

5 parts

Preparation:

Boil the purified Bdellium in sufficient water to dissolve, then boil until a suitable consistency, then add the rest in powder. Form Pills.

Function:

Strengthens Bones, promotes Healing of Fractures

Use:

1. Fractures
2. Poor alignment of bones
3. Bone pain
4. Osteoporosis
5. Acute back strain
6. Arthritis with bone involvement
7. Slipped or Bulging Disc
8. Ankylosing Spondylitis

Dose:

2–3 grams daily in divided doses (API)

Cautions:

None noted

Modifications:

To promote healing of fractures, and for Osteoporosis, it should be combined with a calcium supplement such as Pearl, Coral etc.
