Preparation:

Powder

Function:

Astringent, clears Heat, stops Bleeding

Use:

1. Vomiting of Blood (Bleeding from the Stomach)
2. May be used for other types of Bleeding

Dose:

3 drams in Purslane water

Cautions:

None noted

Modifications:

1. It is stronger if 2 drams of Opium are added, although this is not essential for it to be effective.
