* Copper sulphate is useful for Phthisis (Consumption), and is used to clear Phlegm. However, doses of around 300mg are emetic. Therapeutic doses are usually arounf 5–7mg. Therefore, a much smaller dose would typically be used for the intended purpose. In addition, Copper sulphate is typically prepared for internal use.

1 scruple
If made without Copper sulphate, or with a greatly reduced dose, it could be givwn in doses of 1 dram.
Cautions:
If recreated, the dose of Copper sulphate should be greatly reduced, or omitted.
