‘A very reliable remedy for diarrhea and dysentery.’

Dose:

1⁄2–1 dram

Cautions:

None noted

Modifications:

Ginger may be used instead of Galangal and Mastic may be used in place of Marshmallow.

Similar Formulas:

Compare with Decoction of Tormentil (Gabelhover, 1599). This is the same prescription in the same proportions with Mastic replacing Marshmallow, and Galangal and Ginger being swapped.
