* Different sources have given different proportions
** Processed Polygnum He Shou Wu is used, not the unprocessed variety
*** Psoralea is ordered to be stir-fried with Black Sesame seed. An equal amount can be used.

Preparation:

Powder and form Honey pills.
The herbs can also be infused in clear spirit for a small glassful to be taken each day.

Function:

Nourishes the Blood, Benefits Yin and Essence, Nourishes the Hair

Use:

1. Premature Greying of the Hair
2. Alopecia
3. Weakness and soreness of the Lower Back
4. Impotence
5. Male Infertility
6. Low Sperm Count
7. Nocturnal Emission
8. Osteoporosis
9. Menopausal Syndrome
10. Loose Teeth
11. Dental deterioration due to old age

Dose:

6–9 grams, three times per day

Cautions:

Use carefully in Digestive weakness

Modifications:

1. More significant Blood and Yin deficiency, add Rehmannia Shu Di Huan g
2. With chronic Lower Back pain, add Curculigo Xian Mao, Eucommia Du Zhong
3. Impotence, add Epimedium Yin Yang Huo, Velvet Deer Horn (Lu Rong)
4. Seminal Emission, add Euryale Qian Shi, calcined Oyster Shell (Duan Mu Li)
