Uses:

1. Strengthens Stomach and Spleen, Benefits the Qi:

-the Root boiled gives good nourishment
-strengthens, improves energy and stamina
-Essence of Turnip helps cure Consumption

2. Warms and strengthens the Kidneys:

-Impotence, Sexual Debility
-Increases Sperm
-Infertility
-Edema, fluid retention
-Bladder and Kidney diseases from Kidney deficiency
-Confected Root and Seed are used to strengthen Kidneys.

3. Clears Cold-Phlegm, Stops Cough:

-Cough and Wheezing from Cold-Phlegm obstructing the Lungs
-Good for Lung diseases, and weakness of the Lungs; the juice clears roughness of the Throat and Lungs

4. Resists Poison:

-Seed is used in Antidotes; used against Poisons and Venoms
-Epidemic Fevers
-expels Small Pox

5. Promotes Milk

6. Externally:

-applied to arthritic pain (raw or Boiled)
-boiled, they discuss Tumors
-Chilblains, Kibes
-in gargles for phlegm of the throat

3. Epidemic Fever and Poison, Turnip seed and Lemnian Earth (Herbarium Horstianum, 1630)
4. Promote Menstruation, Turnip seed with Saxifrage decocted in water (Herbarium Horstianum, 1630)
5. Infertility:
i. Turnip seed with Parsnip seed, Ash tree keys, Red Behen, White Behen, Cinnamon
6. To nourish Sperm:
