Preparation:
Decoct Rhubarb and Licorice in 3 cups of water down to 1 cups, then strain and dissolve in the Mirabilitum Mang Xiao.
Function:
Slowly purges Heat accumulation
Use:
A. Yang Ming syndrome with stomach heat and dryness, constipation, thirst, irritability, fever
B. Heat in the Stomach and Intestines with
1. Constipation
2. Intestinal obstruction
3. Acute Gastroenteritis
4. Acute Appendicitis
5. Acute cholecystitis
6. Food Poisoning
Dose:
Take the above as a dose while warm
Cautions:
1. Not used during pregnancy
2. Not used in cold and weak patients
3. Not used for mild or occasional Constipation.
4. Not used for more than a few days without a break in treatment.
