Preparation:
Digest for 8 days, then distill in an Alembic; to 7 lbs. of the distillate add 2 oz. of Cassia Wood, 1 oz. of Juice or Confection of Kermes; digest until their Tincture is extracted. Usually sweetened with Sugar at the end.
The Saffron, Musk and Ambergris should be infused at the end rather than distilling them.

Opens Orifices, Moves Qi, Benefits Heart and Brain
Use:
1. “Exhilarates the Heart”
2. “Revives the Senses”
3. Promotes Digestion, rlieves Colic and Bloating
4. Obstructions of the Lungs, Liver and Spleen
5. Said to preserve Health and promote Longevity.
Dose:
1–2 spoonfuls, which may be added to water or wine.

None noted
Modifications:
It can also be prepared as a tincture in Brandy, adding Rose water at the end.
