Myrrh powder Commiphora molmol 2 oz.
Brandy Spiritum Vitae sufficient

Preparation:

Put the Myrrh into a suitable vessel, and pour on S.V., enough to cover the Myrrh by about 4 inches (10cm). Seal, and digest for 3 or 4 days, then decant the clear Tincture and keep for use.

Function:

Moves the Blood, Resolves Stasis, Eases Pain, Resists Poison

Use:

1. Amenorrhea
2. Dysmenorrhea
3. Uterine pain or spasm
4. Promotes Labor
5. Expels Afterbirth
6. Headache, Migraine
7. Apoplexy
8. Epidemic diseases (to prevent infection and treat)
9. Wounds, Bruises, Strains, Sprains (topically)
10. Inflammation of the Mouth or Throat (diluted as a mouthwash or gargle)
11. Sore Throat, Tonsillitis (diluted as a gargle)
12. Ulcers, Gangrene (topically)

Dose:

10–20 drops, up to 30 drops, usually in Wine; from 1–2 drams was taken in the treatment of Plague and other Epidemic diseases.

None noted

Modifications:
