Preparation:

Powder and mix with Lettuce water and Black Nightshade water; form Triangular Troches

Function:

Relieves Pain

Use:

Used topically on the forehead for Headache and Insomnia.

Dose:

Applied topically.
They can be ground into a paste with Rose, Violet or Lettuce Water to be applied to the pulses and temples, or applied topically to a painful part.

None noted

This, and recipes like it, were almost certainly used internally sometimes, although were officinally listed for external use only.
They were apparently formed into triangular Troches, as opposed to regular square Troches so they would not be confused and accidently taken internally.
