Preparation:

Boil the 2nd (Rose) and 3rd (Myrtle berry) ingredients briefly in the Sorrel juice, then strain and add the beaten Galls, boil for a short while, then strain and add the rest in fine powder. Dry them, then grind into powder, add 1 dram of Camphor, then form into Troches with Rose water. They can be perfumed with Musk.

Function:

Clears Heat and Damp, astringes and stops Bleeding

Use:

1. Heat-type Bleeding
2. Acute Gastroenteritis
3. Acute Diarrhea and Dysentery, with or without Blood

4. Calms the Mind when irritated by Heat
5. It was used for Liver and Heart weakness associated with Heat

Dose:

2–3 drams, 2 or 3 times daily
