Preparation:
Levigates the stones well with Rose water, then mixed with the powdered Rose, and lastly, beat in the Gold and Silver leaf, and mix well. Add 2 drams of this powder to 3 oz. of Sugar dissolved in Rose water, and form thin cakes or wafers
Function:
Clears Heat, settles the Heart, Mind and Spirit, regulates the Heart
Use:
1. Palpitations
2. Calms the mind and spirit, promotes cheerfulness
Dose:
1⁄2–1 dram, once or twice daily as needed
Cautions:
1. Gem formulas are dangerous if the stones are not very finely reduced by being levigated with Rose water.
2. Emerald contains beryllium which is toxic. Substitutes should be used
