Guggulu (Bdellium) purified

Commiphora wightii

Preparation:

Beat the purified Bdellium, then beat with a little Castor oil to a stiff paste, then mix in the remaining ingredients in powder. Form pills.
Some recommend heating the Bdellium in a little Castor oil, then adding the powders to form a pill mass.

Function:

Clears Phlegm and Damp,

Use:

1. Obesity
2. Phlegm and Damp diseases
3. High Cholesterol
4. Rheumatism
5. Hypothyroidism

Dose:

2–3 grams daily in divided doses with warm water (API)

None noted

Modifications:

Vyoshadi means Trikatu–the Three Pungents, composed of Ginger, Long Pepper and Black Pepper.
