| Mugwort | Artemisia vulgaris | 2 handfuls ea. |
| Balm | Melissa officinalis | 4 oz. |
| Blessed Thistle | Carduus benedictus | 6 lbs. ea. |
| Pennyroyal | Mentha pulegium | |
| Amomum | Amomum subulatum | |
| Wine | Vinum | |
| Milk | Lac |
Preparation:
Mix, steep and distil in a water bath to dryness.
Function:
Strengthens Uterus, Regulates Menstruation
Use:
1. Infertility
2. Amenorrhea
3. Dysmenorrhea
4. Menstrual pain and cramping
Dose:
4 oz.; recommended to be taken with 1 dram of Juniper Tincture, and 2 spoonfuls of the Syrup of Sage juice.
Cautions:
Not used during Pregnancy
Modifications:
1. Angelica root can replace the Seed.
2. Angelica Dang Gui is probably a better substitute for Angelica seed.
Given to promote “Fruitfulness” in women; it sweetens the blood and cleanses the womb of impurities; it “destroys the Scorbutick Acidities, which hinder the breeding of good seed”. (Salmon)
