Preparation:
Decoction. Sometimes, Jujube (Da Zao) is added.
Function:
Regulates Qi, Resolves Phlegm, Harmonizes Gall Bladder and Stomach
Use:
Copious sputum, distention in the chest, bitter taste, yellow and greasy tongue coat, rapid pulse.
1. Chronic Gastritis
2. Peptic Ulcer
3. Cholecysitis
4. Chronic Hepatitis
5. Chronic Pancreatitis
6. Chronic Bronchitis
7. Insomnia
8. Anxiety
9. Neurosis
10. acute Schizophrenia
Dose:
The above is divided into 3 equal doses to be taken over the course of the day.
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
1. Insomnia, add Zizyphus Semen Suan Zao Ren, Oyster shell (Mu Li), Amber (Hu Po)
2. Insomnia with Depression, take with Yue Ju Wan.
3. More severe Phlegm-Heat with Irritability, add Coptis Huang Lian.
4. Anxiety, Zizyphus Semen Suan Zao Ren, Polygala Yuan Zhi, Oyster shell (Mu Li), Fossil Bones (Long Gu).
5. Dizziness and Vertigo, add Arisaema Dan Nan Xing, Uncaria Gou Teng, Scorpion (Quan Xie)
6. Severe Vertigo, add Paeonia Bai Shao, Scutellaria Huang Qin, Hematite (Dai Zhe Shi)
