Function:

Settles Wind, Stops Spasms, Eases Pain

Use:

1. Spasms
2. Convulsions
3. Epilepsy
4. Headaches–stubborn, severe, cluster, migraine
5. Trigeminal Neuralgia
6. Arthritic pain, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis
7. Parkinson’s Disease
8. Tetanus
9. Meningitis
10. Encephalitis

Dose:

900–1500mg, 2–4 times daily with warm water.

Cautions:

1. Use cautiously
2. Avoid long-term use
3. Not used during Pregnancy.

Modifications:

1. Acute Febrile diseases with Spasms, take with Niu Huang Jie Du Pian
2. Trigeminal Neuralgia with severe pain, add Safflower (Hong Hua), Earthworm (Di Long), White Silkworm (Bai Jiang Can), Borneo Camphor (Bing Pian).
3. Tetanus, take with Yu Zhen San.
4. Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis, add Astragalus Huang Qi and Black Soybean seed coats. This is called Soufeng sanjie formula and has been studied.
